Where are the homes available?

Currently we can service the western United States including Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, California, Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. We can ship our prefab modular homes to remote locations such as the San Juan Islands via barge or helicopter. We plan to have an east coast manufacturer by early 2009.

 

How long until a home is complete?

We can deliver a completed home within 3 months of local jurisdiction building permits. A realistic turnaround from the time you place your order is 4-8 months, which is a fraction of the time it takes to site build a custom home.

 

What is the cost?

We offer a variety of finish levels and features but estimate costs of the modular portion of the Method Cabin to be between $150-$250 a square foot.

 

How do I order a home?

Contact us and we will go over your site parameters, feasibility, desired options and will proceed to provide you with a contract and price.

 

Do I need a separate contractor for the site related portions of construction?

That is up to you. In Washington and Oregon we have a general contracting company, Method Homes Contracting, so we have the ability to serve as a turnkey provider of your home. If you choose to hire your own general contractor we will work closely with them to ensure the site and foundation are properly prepared for the modular set.

 

Do you build custom homes?

Yes. Method Homes will work with clients and our team of architects to design your custom prefab dream home.

 

Can the Method Cabin go in snow zones?

Yes. The Method Cabin is engineered to go in snow zones.

 

Are these manufactured homes?

No. Our homes are built to the International building code and local jurisdiction building codes and are built with the same standards as site built homes. Manufactured housing is built to national HUD building codes and is considered substandard construction.

 

Where is your factory?

Our factory is in Ferndale, Washington.
