The Calistoga Custom is a custom construction built in the stunning hillside of Calistoga, California. This modern residence is defined by its striking horizontal lines, eclectic interior style, and expansive glass walls framing the breathtaking views of its surroundings. This home consists of 11 prefabricated modules with a large site-built great room that flows into the backyard pool and outdoor kitchen. Though it is just a 10 minute drive from downtown Calistoga, this residence maintains a removed and private feel, perfect for a weekend getaway.

The living room serves as the heart of the home, featuring grand sliding doors that open to sweeping hillside views. A curated mix of the client’s contemporary art collection and designer furniture adds a sophisticated feel.

The eclectic interior design of this home, by Alison Damonte, features unexpected colors, contemporary art and photography, and custom furniture pieces–all working to enhance the minimalist architecture.

The exteriors are defined by their simple but sophisticated materials, with concrete, glass, and wood punctuated with aluminum. The beautiful stained cedar and Shou Sugi Ban finishes are both insect and fire-resistant, ensuring the home’s durability for years to come.
